Editing break from some 'zush

In the middle of editing Monday's episode, I escaped for a quick sushi
snack at my favorite place in L.A....Sushi Minori....the rest is for the
birds!

Podcast Academy IV

Rachel and I taped part of a live episode in front of an audience at Podcast Academy IV yesterday....I'm gonna see if I can work in Blaine saying "88SLIDE is taped in front of a live studio audience" for that ep...just like the good 'ol days...

First I gave a speech about 88SLIDE, then called Rachel up front for this segment. It went great!

Editing on the go to San Francisco...

I flew up to San Francisco this morning for some meetings (yes, I meet with people regarding this coq'a'may'me trivia show), and was literally editing the entire time I wasn't in the meeting...


On the plane, in the cab, waiting at the terminal - you name it...


It's great to finally be able to do this...

I realized this morning that VEOH is featuring 88SLIDE on their homepage as a "VEOH SPOTLIGHT"

Today's Blaine

Headed over to Blaine's tonight - business as usual...

I drank some of his Coca-Cola straight from the bottle without him knowing.

We watched a few mintues of a "JEREMY PIVEN IN INDIA" special on HGTV before we got started. Weird.

Anywho - we taped the first take with Blaine mentioning the winner from Stafford, Virginia - the correct reveal...took a break to reset the mic - and then did about 3 takes with "Stafford, New Jersey" (we had NJ in our mind from the previous night)...didn't realize until I got back.

I spliced some of the better takes of him saying WHEEEEELING and paired it with the original, less dynamic take of Blaine mentioning Virginia.

Also, if you listen closely - you might hear Rachel say the word "WEDNESDAY" a little weird. We actually said Tuesday when we were in the field, so I grabbed a WEDNESDAY from the previous week. WEAK, I know, I know. It worked out ok.

This weekend we're taping an episode at the Comic Book & Science Fiction Convention over at the Shrine Auditorium - the longest running show of its kind in the US.
